Cutting Course Details

The course will be given at the  Enrique Tomás store in Carrer Pelai, 18; in Barcelona on Saturdays from 10:30 to 13:30 except on Saturdays in January, August and December.

Each session will have a maximum of 5 participants, which will guarantee a personalized attention during the course.

During the 3 hours of the course you will receive a basic introduction to the following topics:

Tools for use
Anatomical understanding of the ham piece
Cutting techniques 

The course can only be taken by people over 18 years of age and will be given in Spanish.

The companions of the owner of the voucher for the Ham Cutting Course will not be able to enter the class area, having to wait in any other room of the shop.

The piece of ham to be cut will be a Gran Reserva ham provided by Enrique Tomás, this ham is not included in the course price and all the slicing  material  will be available within the shop. Participants can buy their own ham, of any variety, with a 10% discount at the end of the class. If you want to buy your own piece and take home all the sliced material, the participant must inform us in advance, if it is your case, contact us at web@enriquetomas.com or phone +34 934 648 004.

What is included in the Ham Cutting Course?

In addition to the three hours of course, where you will learn theory and above all, the practice of the art of slicing ham. Enrique Tomás' course includes everything described below:

Script: Manual with the instructions you need to have at hand when cutting a ham from start to finish.

Tasting qualities of the ham: Tasting session to taste and appreciate the differences in taste and texture of the qualities of the ham: Gran Reserva, Ibérico de Cebo and Ibérico de Bellota.

Lunch: Snack and drink to regain strength during the course hours.

Book: "Las grandes mentiras del jamón" written by Enrique Tomás, the whole theory you didn't know about the fascinating world of ham. Learn about our history and the truth about the myths surrounding our most international product.

Diploma: Personalized certificate of participation as a souvenir of the experience. This material will be sent in digital format to the participant at the end of the course.

Once confirmed the place for the course, on a certain date, cancellations will only be accepted with 48h in advance.
