When we talk about curing in gastronomy we are talking about... ham, at the first EatDrinkInsider event of 2020.
On March 5, The News’ food and drinks team will host a dinner at Enrique Tomás restaurant and store on Henderson Avenue. The Spanish restaurant, which announced last summer that it was opening up its first U.S. location in Dallas, is the source of the legendary jamón ibérico.
Readers will have the opportunity to meet some real jamoneros, also known as skilled ham slicers, and learn about the history of jamón as they try Spanish dishes and drinks. Food Editor Erin Booke will also be in attendance.
Details
Enrique Tomás is located at 2822 N. Henderson Ave. The event will be held on March 5 at 6 p.m. and is exclusive to members only. The price to attend is $100 per person, which includes gratuity.
